5 months old!!

My baby is 5 months old today.. thats a month away from being a half year old.. oh dear!
well i thought this deserved a blog post because i really want to keep a journal of what he was like and now that he's past the newborn "eat poop sleep repeat" stage its getting so much fun!

at 5 months my little boy is

-rolling over from tummy to back.. he can get up on his side while he is on his back but hasn't quite gotten over to his tummy. 

- unfortunetly has found his thumb- i've been trying really hard for him not to suck on it but he sure likes it!

-he sits forward and is in a high chair.. can't quite sit up on his own as he is still kinda wobbly.
-giggles and smiles all the time

-thinks peek-a-boo is the greatest

-loves the pool not a fan of cold water at the water park but is getting used to it(even went down the water slide with dad) loves to splash!

-loves to be outside sometimes i just open the door and put him in his seat and he just watches the cars go by.
-sleeps 10+ hours at night in his crib! naps 3-4 times a day usually an hour/hour and a half each
-eating rice cereal and lately has been using his safe feeder to eat bananas which he loves cause he can do it on his own. he also likes to chew on celery.

-has been one 1 bike ride but his helmet is still a little big resulting in his head being pushed forward=not very comfy for him but he fell asleep nonetheless!
-loves to bounce in his jolly jumper and in your arms as well.
- a month later and still no tooth; just a little white spot still hasn't poked through
- looks up at me and smiles about 50 times a feeding; (almost saying thanks mamma!) but its so cute i can't be mad but he's covered by the time he is done
- loves his swing at home but really enjoyed the one at the park as well!!

Ryker James is so much fun! I love him so much and he is sooo smart! i can't believe how fast he is growing up.

the last 3 months...

so I may or may not have forgotten i even had a blog- what a terrible time to do such a thing as now is the time I need to be writing down things Ryker does. Like the first time he rolled over or his first official giggle. My little boy is sooo active! he loves bath time and to splash ! he always has something to say- especially when it is quiet during a prayer he feels he needs to fill in the silence. not cool. haha He can almost sit up on his own and he loves loves loves his jolly jumper my mom got him. he could bounce in that thing all day if it didn't give him a serious wedgie! We have gone to Canmore to spend a week together as a family. we moved in Medicine Hat ( which we are TOTALLY loving!) we went to the zoo where Ryker loved watching the penguins. I had 2 kidney stone attacks.. which i never want to experience EVER again !Blake graduated and got a new job and the best thing thats happened in the last 3 months is that I'm cancer free! It was so relieving to get that news... i have had so much health issues lately..i am not a fan! My mom came to visit and we went to Cypress Hills, which was so fun! we went on an adventure and out to some look outs which is totally not something my mom and me are prone to do, so it was fun to do something new. We are loving all the parks that are here in Medicine Hat and we live super close to the church and are able to walk each sunday. We love it here and love going out and doing things together- Ryker loves the outdoors. Now i won't bore you much more; here are some pictures!! :)

Blake graduated - unfortunately i wasn't able to be there as i was getting emergency surgery for kidney stones

gross i know.. but my hair started to fall out.. that is a weeks worth of hair out of my brush.. eek! 

post partum hair loss is just terrible!

so our "awesome" landlord decided he needed to store a couple of boxes in the garage so we aren't allowed to use it.. so here in blake using my kitchen as a shop..atleast he's building me stools so i can't complain!

i FINALLY did it! i dyed it! i loved the color.. it last till i washed it and now its a combination of red and brown... my roots are growing in.. they look grey.. i should probably get on that...

We went to Waterton! i love my cute little family!

we went swimming; Blakes parents stayed at the deerfoot inn so we took Ryker for the first time.. he loved it so much he fell asleep so he's not in the picture.

Ryker will smile if you make a fishy face at him.. especially first thing in the morning or if he's looking in a mirror

we took a trip down to Idaho.. 10 hours in the car and this little boy did SOOOO good!! he slept the whole time! :)
