I think this lady is incredible! I just love following along on all the things that she is accomplishing when Doctors told her she couldnt.
She is incredible, take a look at her story!
She inspires me to be grateful for everything that i have in my life, even the trials as they make us who we are !

Day 05- A picture of you and your friends
Well this is a VERY difficult one for me, as when i was growing up i had alot of different "groups" of friends.. So i guess they all deserve to be on here!
I will start out with my oldest friend- TJ, our moms were friends in highschool so i guess we were kinda forced:P
I can say that my mom grew to be my best friend, i was a bratty teenage girl at one point but i can definetley say she is one of best friends now!
My basketball "friends"
My bridesmaids :)
\my brothers -despite how much they tease me
Hawna and tricia! I lived with hawna, was planning on living with tricia but it didn't work out, we definitely had alot of fun though!
And last but definitely not least, my BEST friend in this WHOLE WIDE EARTH. My hubby and i treasure our friendship and the ability we have to get along is great! i love him!Different groups of friends but i love them all!
Day 04- A picture of somewhere you’ve been to
Pretend like this was posted yesterday. I helped Todd and Becky move and didn't get around to it, perfectly good excuse !
Feb 2009 I got the chance to go to Peru with my dad. We went with Dave Clark. Brother David as my dad calls him, he is SO awesome. We went with his group The Andean Foundation For A Better Life.
It was probably the best trip i've ever been on. If you take a look at the itinerary, you will see it keeps you VERY busy for those 11 days. As Dave says, you can sleep when you get home! or on the 6 hour layover on the floor of the airport!
Machu Pichu was imense and almost overwhelming. It was fun to learn about and participate in their culture.
Taking a much needed nap after hiking all the way to the top, it was SO beautiful!
Our "dinner entertainment" they were soooo creepy! and wanted you to dance with them!
The part that really intrigued me about going to Peru was the service aspect. We got to build a stove for a village that would help feed over 100 a day. It was exhausting hauling all the brick but worth it, especially as we visiting hospitals and orphanages and got to see the extreme need that those people have. Things that i took for granted without even thinking twice about it. Things like carpet, running water, even shoes.
I wish i wouldn't have let the kids play around with my camera. They ended up reformatting my card and i lost ALL my pictures, so i was very dissapointed in that but good thing my dad and Hawna and Fisher were there! I also wish i wouldn't have gone to the mall in Lima Peru, as this is where someone pushed me over and stole my bags (of all the cool stuff i was buying for my friends ) and my money. It was an outdoor mall and as soon as they had come then had vanished into all the people. That put a downer to the end of my trip but im very grateful i got the opportunity to grow and to experience that!
It was so much fun ! i can't wait to go again!!!
got up at like 4 am to go haul bricks from the side of a hill, into a truck, drive the truck across the village, unload onto a tarp only to find that we then had to put them into wheel barrows and move them down another hill. that was a VERY exhausting day! But look how GREAT it turned out!
I could tell you SO many stories about Peru!! It was awesome, and great to be there with my dad!

Day 03- A habit that you wish you didn’t have
Well its day 3 of the challenge and im charged with sharing a bad habit that i wish i didn't have...
to me there are 2 types of habits
1) conscious habits
2)sub-conscious habits
One of my conscious habits is color coordinating my closet i wish i didn't do it but i just have to!
I have another habit which most people would say is conscious but i don't even notice it when im doing it is biting my nails, For as long as i can remember i've had the ugliest nails which constantly break and hang nails galore! It's really gross and i wish i didn't do it, but i also was my hands alot too so i guess that semi makes up for it.
another one of mine would have to be that when i'm standing, i put one foot on top of the other. This wouldn't seem like a big deal, except during muddy days! I noticed mudstains on top of my left shoe ALL the time! I consciously paid attention and sure enough whenever i'm just standing there i stand with my right foot on top of my left.
My husband thinks i'm addicted to facebook, i'm constantly checking it. well maybe even the internet in general. It seems to be much more fascinating then my real life, and living in Calgary i really have 0 friends other then Blake so its nice to know what everyone else is doing, so i'd hardly call it a bad habit.
i do lots of quirky things but i would hardly call them habits, these are just a few!

Day 02- 10 of my favorite songs
1. Changed by you- Between the trees
i would quote the lyrics to Blake when we were first dating, giving him hints that i loved him :)
2.Swing Life away- Rise Against
Because Blake serenaded me with this song while we were dating.
3.I look so good (without you) -Jessie James
It reminds me of when i broke up with my boyfriend of 3 years, and how i was actually happier because of it.
4. Sugar Rush- Cash Cash
This reminds me of when i lived with Hawna, and we would go cruising and pump tunes, and now we're both old married ladies, its so crazy how much we have grown in this past year. Also reminds me of the hand motions we had that went along with this song and singing it at Trek, and Hawna's ma' thinking we were on drugs.5.All i want to do- Sugarland
Because it is so freaking catchy!
6. Nacho Libre..
Because i know all the words :)
7. Forget you- Cee Lo Green
Because its funny haha
8. 7 things - miley cyrus and teh spoof is funny too.
Because in highschool my best friends and i came up with a dance and would dance to it everytime we drove to Lethbridge.
9. Baby- Justin Beiber
im not a justin beiber fan and blake makes fun of me when i break out to jbeebs in the shower, but i enjoy this song :P
10. Hot and cold- Katy Perry
Because this was in Peru late at night.. or rather very early in the morning? After sunstroke and being high up in the mountains all day. It makes me giggle everytime!

Day 01- A recent picture of you and 10 interesting facts about yourself
1. Everytime i get in my car i sing "true colors" by cyndi lauper..don't ask me why!
2. I can hate someone based completely on how they chew their gum.
3. I turned down blake on the first date when he asked to kiss me.
4. I may have had the cutest proposal out of anyone i know.
5. I used to be scared of escalators because i thought if your shoe got caught at the top it would eat you. So i always made sure my shoe laces were tied and i jumped at the end so my feet didn't go near it.
6. I enjoy reading - just feel to guilty when im just sitting around and not doing anything so i often dont.
7. I've had a gym membership for over a year and i could count how many times i've gone on my fingers. I'm such a slacker!
8. I've kissed 2 boys in 1 night, just to say that ive done it.
9. When i was little, i wasn't allowed to eat at the table because i ended up wearing most of my food.
10. I have so many clothes i make Blake use the closet in the spare room so i can hang up all my clothes.
Good luck to me ! lets hope this 30 challenge thing survives!!!

wow has alot ever happened...
first off , hi mom :)
well where do i begin..

Blake is loving school, He has recently been talking to his friend Justin about the church, which i think is really awesome! Justin seems really eager to learn more and we're excitedly waiting for him to accept our invitation to come to church with us!
some other news was Hawna got married and i was her bridesmaid, she was beautiful but it was freezing outside! We then took off reading week and went to Fairmont ( which coincidentally hawna was going on her honeymoon) it was so nice to relax and hang out despite being sick i loved spending time with my awesome husband and BC is beautiful! With that trip we also got to go to the temple with my mom. I sure wish that the temple was closer or that the one in Calgary could just be finished already! hah
We stopped in Sparwood and thats when we realized we had forgotten our camera, so we had to use out cellphones instead!
I got accepted to school at Bow Valley College, where i'll be taking dental administration at the end of the summer. Only 6 months but i don't know where my job is leading so im not sure what my plans are yet.
We went to Logans for breakfast where my brother proceeded on giving me a bloody nose as well as spraining my ankle... it was nice to spend some time with my family but boy is my body ever paying for it!!
Life is really good right now although i feel a little left out in the babybump department as all the other young married couples seem to all be pregnant!
but my time will come soon enough, it is fun just being the 2 of us and im not quite sure if im ready to let that go.
oh how that old story of girls usually marry guys who are just like there dads is beginning to sound more and more real, as much as i hate admitting that. Everytime Blake does something i always get that.. " thats oddly familiar oh yeah my dad would do or say something like that" Its great..sometimes.. i mean i love my dad and i love my husband.. but when you put the 2 of them together.. they could be twins. But i am very thankful for that and it reassures my love for him everytime i see him acting so comfortable around my family like he belongs, and i've never had that with any of the other boys that i brought home.. in fact im pretty sure my dad couldn't have been any more opposite that a few of them..
Speaking of him we got to have everyone over for dinner for his 40.. something birthday :P haha i made my first ever homemade blackforrest cake and it was so good!
i really don't know how much longer old bertha is gonna last... she had another cool number of KM the other day though!
hopefully my mom will email me more pictures from our trip and i can add them, as she captured what old people blake and i have turned into !
