today turned out alot better then i expected. i have struggled with depression since Jarons birth, its difficult for me to express and sometimes I stew on things a little too long, a week ago i had a pity party for me, but today was ALL about Jaron.. and i'm glad i could get it together long enough to do that...
My baby is 1... WHAT!? how did this happen..
Jaron weighs in at a whopping 19 pounds. he is a solid boy. not very tall and not very chubby just solid. He enjoys eating, he will eat until i stop giving him food. for his birthday breakfast i decided to make him sprinkle pancakes, turns out this is the only thing out of every food i've ever given him he doesn't like... i hope this isnt a start of the fight i have with Ryker daily to eat the food i give him.
Its almost like he grew up over night. last night i couldn't sleep so i got up and held Jaron while he slept.. he looked so peaceful.. like there was no way he was turning 1 in less then 12 hours... and when we woke up this morning it was like he just grew up. hes talking more and walking with his walker. he is crawling on his hands and knees more often as well instead of just army crawling everywhere.
we had a good day, the weather was okay here, i was hoping for it to be warmer out side so we could do some smashcake photos but those will have to wait.
we are going to do a combined party for Blake and Jaron next week and hopefully the weather will be nice :)
I am so excited for Jaron and how far he has come. he is a fighter and that deserves a celebration on his own! He is doing so much better then we ever thought possible, and we hope that this continues. He is so smart, and although he isn't quite at the milestones that other full term babies are at, I am the typical mom who thinks their kid is a genious and take a million pictures everytime he does something new.
Becky made cake balls for Jaron tonight to enjoy, and he loved them!
Happy birthday Jaron!
WE SURE DO LOVE YOU!

Happy Happy Birthday little Jaron!
And Jenna....HAPPY HAPPY Anniversary to you. You did it. You survived and you came out on top. I know what you might be feeling with all those mixed emotions and struggling to make sense of it all....being "robbed" of something or feeling cheated. You went through a VERY traumatic experience and nobody knows what that feels like unless they have gone through what you have. And even then....no one knows. We each all go through our own personal experiences in their own personal ways. Just know that I have a "sense" of what it is that you are saying. I saw/read it between the lines. ; ) I understand what you are trying to express girl. Hugs! And I am SO glad you and Jaron and your family had a wonderful day!
Thanks Lynn, you are so sweet..and it is difficult that others don't quite understand but it is my trial and I know I'm not alone in it. Depression makes you foggy and sometimes you forget that and can't quite get over all the bad things to rwcogniE the awesome things that you seem to over look all to often. And you're right I did it ! A year ago it was hard to see what the future would be like. But its here and we are doing good and for that I am grateful!:)
depression is hard! Don't hesitate to call if you ever want a listening ear.
